Sad news for all the Twitter fangirls out there! Zayn Malik from the ever so popular boyband, One Direction, has officially deactivated his Twitter account! It came as a shock to users yesterday, August 21st, when Malik tweeted:

"The reason i don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter :)" (sic)

He continued:

"my fans that have something nice to say can tweet me on the one direction account . :) x" (sic)

Ouch.

Since the pop singer’s last tweets, directioners have banned together to trend worldwide topics including, "#ComeBackZayn," "#ZaynComeBack," and "#WeLoveYouZayn." Sadly, that might not be enough. Malik has been receiving an overwhelming amount of abuse the last few months. "Fans" have been mocking his looks, religion, nationality, relationships, etc. To top that all off, a video accusing the singer of cheating on his Little Mix girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, has surfaced. There's only so much a man can take!

I highly doubt that his Twitter absence is permanent, but maybe this will teach people to think before they click send.

What are your thoughts on the whole scandal, FanBolters?

I think, As a celebrity, he should understand that people will always love or hate him no matter what he does. He should absorb the positive thoughts and move on.
