Pink is one tough pop star. The newly crowned queen of the most radio-friendly-hard edged-gritty-music-ever-recorded is currently head lining an arena tour. The night before her show at the Hp Pavilion in San Jose she took a hard fall during one of her many acrobatic stunts on stage, which resulted in a separated shoulder. Pink has been through much more than a mere shoulder injury so, much to her fans delight, there was no show cancellation.

The tone of the show was set early as a convoy of scantily clad dancers roamed around the stage during Pink's long winded video intro. Finally the woman of the hour emerged, lifted from beneath the stage thirty feet into the air.

The 90 minute set consisted of multiple costume changes, choreographed dance routines and pop rock at its loudest. Pink had no trouble getting the general admission floor jumping. Renditions of "U and Ur Hand," and "Sober," were both greeted with ovations. Pink, most certainly, gets an A+ in showmanship. This is her first time head lining venues of this size and she's swinging for the fences. Not that loud guitar solos, barely there outfits and risque dance moves don't work, it's just that Pink's strongest moments came when everything calmed down. Once the entire country Pink has touring with her left the stage, and it was her and a mic, her real talent shone through.

As the night wound down the hit songs started rolling at a frenzied pace. "So What," got the audience to its loudest decibel level of the night, as Pink made good use of the catwalk and got up close and personal with a few of her fans. It's obvious that not only is she tough but hardworking as well.

"Did you really think I was gonna cancel?" Pink yelled into the mic, "I've been working 20 years to be standing here." The work has paid off.
