According to reports Framelight has optioned rights to the cult comic 'Chin-Chian', with the plan to develop it as a feature film. 'Chin-Chian' started as a six-part comic from the Cuban-American musician Voltaire, and also as developed into a role playing game as well as a series of digital episodes on SyFy. Chin-Chian takes place in dystopian New York. The city has lost its independence and become a prefecture of Japan, and centers on a seemingly ordinary young woman who has been tapped as a heroine and must fight samurais, robots and zombies to protect her loved ones.
