1960 - On his 13th birthday, Gregg Allman received his first guitar.

1967 - The Moody Blues released "Nights in White Satin."

1973 - David Essex released the single "Rock On.”

1978 - The Clash issued their sophomore album Give 'Em Enough Rope in England.
The album also happened to be their first U.S. release.

1986 - Bruce Springsteen’s Live 1975-1985 box set hit stores.

1988 - Steve Miller embarked on his first tour in six years.

1991 - A judge in St. Louis, Missouri found Guns 'N' Roses singer Axl Rose guilty of assault and property damage stemming from a riot at a 1991 concert in the city.
