‘Leverage’ Returns to the Small Screen this Summer!

Leverage

The Con is back on! Anybody that knows me knows that I have two television shows that I absolutely love; Burn Notice and Leverage. I remember spending hours in FanBolt forums talking about both shows. Well, I just recently got some exciting news: IMDB TV is releasing Leverage: Redemption this summer, which will be a continuation of the original series!

If you’re not familiar with the original series, Leverage follows a group of five criminals that each had a unique skill. Together they decided to use their skills for good and help out those that can’t help themselves. Through several scams, cons, and efforts, they took down corporations and con artists that preyed on unsuspecting victims. In this new iteration and new world, the Leverage crew has watched as the rich and powerful continue to take what they want without consequence. Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), and hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) have watched the world change over the last eight years. Since their last job, it’s become easier–and sometimes legal–for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who gets in their way.

To address the changes in the world around them, the team finds new blood in Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle), a corporate lawyer who is looking for redemption after realizing he’d been sitting on the wrong side of the table for his entire career and Breanna Casey (Aleyse Shannon), Hardison’s foster sister who has a knack for computers, robotics, and getting into trouble.

As you can see, apart from Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton), they managed to get the whole crew back together. They will be releasing eight episodes starting July 9th and another 8 in the fall. IMDB TV is a free streaming service (ad-supported so some commercials), so this is open to anybody.

Now, if they could just bring back Burn Notice all would be right with the world!

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think! Also, check out the original Leverage now. You can stream it free on Tubi and IMDB TV or find it on your pay streaming services.
