‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ director David Slade and ‘Red’ director Robert Schwentke have been approved by 20th Century Fox to direct ‘Wolverine 2’. Star Hugh Jackman will have final say on which of the two will direct. He is meeting with both next week. Slade is believed to be the slight favorite.
The story for Wolverine 2 revolves around Logan beginning a "forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man." This leads to Logan battling her father, a Yakuza crime boss and mutant, and her brother, a samurai-sword fighter. The movie will also likely involve Logan's daughter, Mariko Yashida.
