Lupita Nyong’o Named Most Beautiful By People Magazine
People‘s coveted ‘Most Beautiful’ issue hits the stands this Friday and this year’s Most Beautiful was none other than Hollywood sweetheart Lupita Nyong’o.
Following the heels of a breakout year, not only in acting but in fashion as well, the Mexican born, Kenya-raised star has been a positive mouthpiece for girls of color all over the world since she hit the scene in her debut role in 12 Years A Slave.
From her moving speech at this year’s Academy Awards, when she took home the award for Best Supporting Actress, ensuring girls all over the world that no matter where they come from their “dreams are valid”, to her genuine interviews and sharp sense of fashion, you’d be hard pressed to find a person who disagrees with her being awarded the title.
When asked about receiving the honor, Nyong’o told People ““I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [the cover] and feel a little more seen.”
We definitely see you Lupita, and hopefully will continue to see you grow and be great over the coming years.
