Tracy Lawrence - The Rock Review Tracy Lawrence has had a long career indeed. A career that has been filled with ups, downs, and everything in between. Lawrence's new album, "The Rock," may be his most personal effort to date. This new disc has been dubbed a gospel album but it's much more than that.
Between the reflective "I'm Done," and the catchy "Up To Him," Lawrence has recorded an album that is both spiritual and radio friendly. Many artists steer clear of the religious label solely to keep the radio stations happy, but Lawrence has taken on the task with success. At this point in his career, which has spanned over a decade, Lawrence is in a place where he can look back. It's perfectly clear that Tracy believes that he's quite different than the person who recorded that first album way back in 1991.
Pick up this record if you're a fan of country, gospel or Tracy Lawrence. The ten tracks on the album are all solid and allow the listener insights into the life of this country superstar. Although this album may not chart as high as Lawrence's previous recordings, it's one of his best to date.
