Weekend Box Office Report: ’21 Jump Street’ Brings In $35 Million

21 Jump Street had a big debut at the box office this weekend bringing in $35 million on to take #1. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax fell out of the #1 spot after two weeks, dropping to #2 with $22.8 million. John Carter fell 55 to slip one spot to #3 in its second weekend bringing in $13.5 million. Project X likewise fell one spot in its third weekend, down to #4 with $4.0 million. While it opened low last weekend, A Thousand Words actually raised one spot to #5 with $3.8 million.
