‘Wolverine 2’ Gets Official Title

Darren Aronofsky has revealed the title for the newest Wolverine movie. The film, to be directed by Aronofsky and sees Hugh Jackman returning to the role, will be titled simply ‘The Wolverine’.

Aronofsky also said that the film will not be a “conventional” sequel to ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ and instead will be a “one-off” project.

The film, written by Christopher McQuarrie, focuses on Wolverine’s time in Japan where he starts a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is promised to another man, placing him in conflict with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers.
