Weekend Box Office Report: January 7th – 9th, 2011

True Grit rose a spot to claim the box office spot from Little Fockers in its third weekend. The Coen Brothers’ western pulled in $15 million to move into the #1 spot. Little Fockers slipped one spot to #2 in its third weekend bringing in $13.8 million. The Nicolas Cage period horror film Season of the Witch opened in the #3 spot with $10.7 million. Tron Legacy fell one spot to #4 in its fourth weekend, grossing $9.8 million. Black Swan leapt back up the charts in its sixth week, finishing at #5 with $8.4 million.
