Benjamin Walker to Play Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Benjamin Walker will star as Abraham Lincoln in the ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ film adaptation.

Walker beat out more well-known frontrunners like Adrien Brody, Josh Lucas, James D’Arcy and Oliver Jackson-Cohen for the role. Walker may be best known for being considered for the role of Beast in ‘X-Men: First Class’.

Walker has done extensive theater work, including starring as Andrew Jackson in ‘Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’. His film credits include ‘Flags Of Our Fathers’.

Timur Bekmambetov will direct ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ with Tim Burton producing. It’s due out June 22, 2012.
