Weekend Box Office Report: January 28th – 30th, 2011
‘The Rite’ captured the top spot at the box office this weekend taking in $15.0 million dollars in its opening weekend. Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman’s comedy ‘No Strings Attached’ fell one spot to #2 in its second weekend bringing in $13.7 million. Jason Statham’s remake of the 1970s film ‘The Mechanic’ opened in the #3 spot with $11.5 million. ‘The Green Hornet’ slipped two spots to #4 in its third weekend with $11.5 million. ‘The King’s Speech’ fell one spot in its tenth week and ended up with $11.1 million for the weekend.
