Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Harry Potter’ Scatters Box Office Records
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 shattered box office records on its way to #1 at the box office this weekend grossed an opening weekend-record $168.6 million for the top spot, blowing away the record held by The Dark Knight since 2008. Transformers: Dark of the Moon dropped to the #2 spot in its third weekend with $21.3 million. Horrible Bosses went down a spot to #3 in its second weekend bringing in $17.6 million. The Zookeeper slipped to #4 in its second weekend with $12.3 million. Cars 2 fell to #5 in its fourth weekend with $8.3 million.
