Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Captain America’ Takes The Lead

Captain America: The First Avenger won the box office with a strong opening weekend grossing $65.8 million in its first weekend to claim the top spot. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 took a huge drop in its second weekend bringing in $48.1 million. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis’ romantic comedy Friends With Benefits opened at #3 with $18.5 million. Transformers: Dark of the Moon fell two spots to #4 in its fourth weekend with $12.0 million. Horrible Bosses slipped two spots as well, dropping to #5 in its third weekend bringing in $11.7 million.
