Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Planet Of The Apes’ Holds On To #1

Rise of the Planet of the Apes has scored a second week at the #1 spot of the box office this weekend bringing in $27.5 million to claim the top spot. Emma Stone’s period drama The Help scored a very impressive opening to finish the weekend at #2 with $25.5 million. Opening in the #3 spot was Final Destination 5 grossing $18.4 million. The Smurfs fell two spots to #4 spot in its third weekend with $13.5 million. 30 Minutes or Less opened soft, finishing at #5 with $13 million.
