Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Dolphin Tale’ Takes #1 Spot

Dolphin Tale claimed the #1 spot at the box office this weekend with $14.2 million. Brad Pitt’s Moneyball held steady at #2 in its second weekend with $12.5 million. The Lion King 3D fell from the top spot in its third week of re-release, dropping two spots to #3 with $11.1 million. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan’s 50/50 opened at #4, pulling in $8.9 million. Courageous opened very impressively for a relatively small release, finishing at $5 with $8.8 million.
