Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Breaking Dawn’ Still Dominates #1
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 held onto the #1 spot for a second weekend grossing $42 million over the three-day weekend and $62.3 million over the five-day weekend to retain its top spot. The Muppets grabbed the #2 spot in its opening weekend, pulling in $29.5 million for the three-day weekend and $42 million for the five-day. Happy Feet Two fell one spot to #3 in its second week, pulling in $13.4 million for the three-day weekend and a five-day weekend gross of $18.4 million. The animated film Arthur Christmas opened at #4 with $12.7 million for the three-day weekend and $17 million for the five-day. Martin Scorsese’s Hugo opened at #5 with an $11.4 million three-day opening and had a five-day weekend gross of $15.4 million.
