December 21st Releases (Wednesday)

Albert Nobbs (R), Drama – A woman in Nineteenth Century Ireland disguises herself as a man in order to survive. Stars Glenn Close, Michael Gambon, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (PG), Family – A junior reporter follow stories to the ends of the earth, even though he often finds his own life in jeopardy. His able assistants include a white dog named Snowy, the lunatic Captain Haddock, the muddled genius Professor Calculus and the Thompson Twins. Stars the voices of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Jamie Bell.

December 23rd Releases (Friday)

Don 2 (NR), Crime – Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don sets his sights set on Europe.

In the Land of Blood and Honey (R), Drama – A love story about a man and a woman meeting on the brink of the Bosnian war in 1992. Stars Rade Serbedzija and Zana Marjanovic. Directed by Angelina Jolie.

Pina (PG), Documentary – The documentary features interviews with and performances by Pina Bausch’s beloved original dance company members, and offers an indelible image of an artist who went the full distance in her uncommonly rich creative life.

We Bought a Zoo (PG), Family – A single dad decides his family needs a fresh start, so he and his two children move to the most unlikely of places: a zoo. With the help of an eclectic staff, and with many misadventures along the way, the family works to return the dilapidated zoo to its former wonder and glory. Stars Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, and Thomas Haden Church.
