Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Mission Impossible 4’ Holds Onto #1 Spot

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol won box office for a second weekend in a row pulling in $31.3 million over the weekend to take the top spot in its third weekend. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows held steady at #2 in its third weekend with $22.1 million. Raising a spot from last weekend to #3 was Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. The animated sequel grossed $18.3 million in its third week. Steven Spielberg’s War Horse rose to #4 in its second weekend bringing in $16.9. David Fincher’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo fell two spots to #5 in its second week with $16.9 million.

  1. I saw both Mission Impossible 4 and Sherlock Holmes 2 and I must say, I enjoyed MI4 better. It deserves the top spot.
