Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Hunger Games’ Still Holding Onto #1 Spot


has became the first film to hold the top spot at the box office for four or more weekend in over two years grossing $21.5 million to hold onto the #1 spot at the box office. Opening at #2 was The Three Stooges bringing in $17.1 million for the spot. Performing right about at expectations was Cabin in the Woods which brought in $14.9 million for the weekend. Falling one spot to #4 in its second week of re-release was Titanic 3D, which brought in $11.6 million. American Reunion slipped three spots to #5 in its second weekend bringing in $10.7 million.

4. Titanic 3D – $11.6 million ($626.5 million total)

6. Mirror Mirror – $7.0 million ($49.5 million total)
7. Wrath of the Titans – $6.9 million ($71.3 million total)
8. 21 Jump Street – $6.8 million ($120.6 million total)
9. Lookout – $6.3 million ($6.3 million total)
10. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax – $3.0 million ($209.5 million total)
