Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Men In Black 3’ Claims #1

Men in Black 3 claimed the #1 spot at the box office this weekend bringing in $55 million. Meanwhile, The Avengers finally fell out of the top in its fourth week with a $37 million gross. Battleship slipped one spot to #3 in its second week with $10.8 million. The Dictator fell down a slot to #4 with $9.6 million. The Chernobyl Diaries opened roughly, bringing in only $8 million for the three day weekend for #5.

  1. Congratulations to MIB3 for dethroning THE AVENGERS. But while $55 million is nothing to sneeze at, it’s certainly no major monster blockbuster either. Hmmm… At least it’s already done better than DARK SHADOWS, BATTLESHIP and THE DICTATOR.
