Weekend Box Office Report: ‘The Expendables 2’ Opens At #1

The Expendables 2 topped the box office in its debut bringing in $28.8 million for the #1 spot. Making way for its fellow action film was The Bourne Legacy, which fell a spot to #2 with $17 million. Opening in #3 was ParaNorman which opened with $14 million. Zack Galifianakis and Will Ferrell’s The Campaign was down two spots in its second weekend to #4 with $13.4 million. Whitney Houston’s last film disappointed, as Sparkle opened at #5 with $12 million.
