Warner Brothers Developing ‘The Conjuring’ Spin-Off

There are reports of a sequel being developed for The Conjuring by Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. The sequel is being written by returning writers Chad and Carey Hayes. So far nothing has been confirmed.

Additionally, the studio is also developing a spin-off feature that around the tale of the Annabelle doll that appeared in the first movie.

John Leonnetti, the cinematographer of The Conjuring, is said to be the director of the spin-off. It will reportedly start filming sometime in Spring 2014. This will likely be a prequel story due to the events involving Annabelle in the first film.
