‘Knight Rider’ Movie Adaptation in the Works with ‘Parks and Rec’ Star Chris Pratt
Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation) is in talks to star in a new film adaptation based on the 1980’s TV series Knight Rider. Knight Rider originally ran from 1982-1986 and starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight.
Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) has also been contacted about the possibility of voicing the famous talking car KITT in the film. The Weinstein Company is developing the project. While no details are available; based on casting choices it appears it may be more of a comedic adaptation rather than staying true to the original source.
Knight Rider was last revived as a TV show in 2008, but it was cancelled in one season.
