Chris Evans to Join Emily Blunt for Netflix’s ‘Pain Hustlers’

Captain America star, Chris Evans, is reportedly in final negotiations to join Emily Blunt, 39, in the upcoming Netflix Original Movie, Pain Hustlers. Netflix secured the film project at the recent Cannes Film Festival.

According to Deadline, the 31-year-old actor will star opposite The Quiet Place star in the film, which is inspired by The Wolf of Wall Street and The Big Short. The screenplay, written by Wells Tower, tells the story of Liza (Emily Blunt). Liza is a high school dropout trying to revive a struggling pharmaceutical start-up based in an aging strip mall in Central Florida. Blunt’s character will drive the firm to the upper echelons of society and into a criminal conspiracy with fatal outcomes.

The project starts filming in August and producers at Lawrence Grey’s Grey Matter Productions, the director, and Yvonne Walcott’s Wychwood Pictures are producing.

In the meantime, Chris Evan’s fans can catch him voicing Buzz Lightyear in Pixar’s latest project, Lightyear. The animated feature released in theaters on June 17, 2022. And the film is expected to make its way to Disney+ sometime in August 2022.

Next up for Evans is Netflix’s The Gray Man, opposite Ryan Gosling. The movie, which releases in select theaters starting July 15, makes its way to the streaming giant on July 22nd.

Evans also just wrapped work on Ghosted for Apple. The romantic action-adventure film, directed by Dexter Fletcher, makes it way to Apple TV+ in 2023. Evan’s co-stars with No Time to Die‘s Ana de Armas in the project.
