When Could ‘Nope’ Come Out On Streaming Platforms?

Nope

When does Nope come out on streaming? The film just released in theaters on July 22, 2022. And the good news is you won’t have to wait long for the Jordan Peele horror flick to premiere on Universal’s streaming platform, Peacock!

Nope took the top spot at the box office this weekend. The film brought in $44 million domestically across 3,785 theaters. Thor: Love and Thunder fell to 2nd in its 3rd week bringing in $22.1 million, and holding on to 3rd was Minions: The Rise of Gru bringing in $17 million in its 4th week.

The International Debut of Nope

Nope‘s international release is staggered over the next few weeks across international territories. The film will open in Guinea this Friday, July 29th, in New Zealand on August 4th, and France and Iceland on August 10th.

On August 12th, the movie will make its UK debut. August 26th will mark its Japan debut. And the last scheduled theater release for the film right now is September 1st for Malaysia.

Nope reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya, who is joined by Keke Palmer, and Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja) as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.

When Will Nope Come Out on Streaming? The Film’s Expected Release Date

While there is no official release date that Universal has announced yet for Nope to hit streaming, here’s what we do know.

Last December, Universal announced that their films would stream exclusively on Peacock. And the timing for the film’s premiere on the streaming platform would be as soon as 45 days after theatrical release.

Following this release schedule, fans can expect Nope to arrive on streaming platform just in time for fall. The 45 day window would land the film with a potential debut on Peacock the week of September 5th.

Jurassic World Dominion just debuted on June 10, 2022, and the film is now available on demand for rental in SD and UHD for $19.99 or buy to keep for $29.99. You can also still catch the film in theaters. By this logic, we’ll likely see Nope released on-demand sometime during the month of September.

We’ll keep you posted when Universal releases the official Nope release date for streaming!
