Review:
Grey’s Anatomy continues to be a hit series, and one that we can’t turn away from – no matter how much Meredith annoys us. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is actually much more tolerable in this season – meaning of course that Dr. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) had to be the unstable one that drove us crazy. Just get married and live happily-ever-after already!

New relationships emerge while old ones fizzle out, a new doctor comes in, and there are a ton of medical emergencies that will have you grossed out – yet completely engaged.

The last episode of the season was the high point for me – and it wasn’t a big shocker to the fans that had heard about the on-set drama between the writers and some of the cast – but the execution of how it happened was definitely a shock. I won’t spoil you – but… wow. Part of it, you won’t see coming.

It wasn’t my favorite season – as I think the earlier seasons were more exciting – but it certainly doesn’t hold back on the drama. And it is wonderful to see our favorite characters continue to grow in their residencies.

The Season 5 DVD set offers a ton of bonus features that makes it a must have for any Grey’s fan. From unaired scenes to hilarious outtakes, a behind the scenes look at the inner working of the series to a chat with Jeffrey Dean Morgan about his character (Denny Duquette) – it’s a set you need to add to your collection!
