John Burke Krasinski was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 20, 1979. His mother Mary was a nurse and his father Ronald was an internist. Krasinksi has also has two older brothers, Paul and Kevin. They were a strictly Catholic family and lived had a pretty comfortable life.

Krasinski graduated from Newton South High School in 1997. He actually went to school with BJ Novak, who would, later on, be one of his co-stars in The Office. When they were seniors, Novak wrote a play and Krasinski starred in it.

Upon finishing college, Krasinki got formal acting training at the National Theater Institute of Connecticut. He also trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company in England and the Actors Center in New York. Then, he would work as an intern on Late Night with Conan O’Brien in 2002 as a scriptwriter. And they got married in Como, Italy in a former property of George Clooney on July 19, 2010. The couple now lives in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, with their two daughters, Hazel and Violet.
