DVD Review: Smallville: Season 6

A meteor shower bursts from the heavens, raining destruction on the unsuspecting citizens of Smallville. Twelve years later and the healing process has left the town’s inhabitants with scars and secrets. From the ashes of tragedy, a popular yet awkward teen attempts to decipher the meaning of his life and his clouded past. As he struggles with the transition from boyhood to adulthood, his strength and strange abilities set him uncomfortably apart from his peers, and his name is Clark Kent.

Review:
Season six of Smallville saw the addition of several new cast members and some rather intriguing plot twists. The midpoint of the season saw a bit of slow down and then we picked right back up at the conclusion of the season. We saw the formation of the Justice League, Lex Luther finally embracing that dark side of his that fans knew from the comic series, and the addition of several new love interests for Lois Lane and Chloe. Perhaps the most exciting of the new characters was the introduction of Green Arrow, which came straight from the pages of the DC comic series and provided quite the contrast to Clark Kent’s character.

With the conclusion of the six season, new possibilities and questions lay on the horizon for season seven to tackle, which will quite possibility change the feel of the series. We’re excited to see where the writers take it, and we highly recommend picking up a copy of season six on dvd or hd dvd so you’ll be caught and ready for the season premiere! Not mention, the special features (including: Smallville fan profiles, the making of Smallville Legends, unaired scenes, and so much more!) are a must have for any Smallville fan!
