DVD Review: Friends: The One with all the…Babies, Birthdays and Weddings

Friends: All of your favorite episodes with all the babies, birthdays and weddings.

Review:
Don’t want to cough up 30 or so dollars for an entire season of Friends, yet still want a piece of arguably the most popular and successful television show in history? For a little over ten dollars a piece Warner Home Video has released a series of highlight episodes from the ten year run of Friends. In keeping with the theme of the show we present to you ‘The One With all the Weddings’, ‘The One With all the Babies’, and ‘The One With all the Birthdays’. The titles pretty much sum up the contents of each of the DVD release. For those who already coughed up the dough for all ten seasons there’s nothing new here. It is fun, however, to observe the changing hairstyles and clothes from episode to episode on these DVDs. These releases are more meant for those who are looking for a concise highlight reel of some of the best, most classic Friends moments. And, of course, as many people have found through Friends re-runs, it seems you simply never get tired of seeing an episode- the anticipation of what you know is coming almost makes the experience that much funnier. It’s easier than it sounds, in the span of merely one weekend, to finish an entire season of Friends. I’d venture to say that after purchasing one of these highlight releases, you’ll feel compelled to go ahead and spring for an entire season, or hey, why not just dump the cash on the nifty ‘The One With All Ten Seasons’ which, you guessed it, is a conveniently packaged, series spanning, boxed set. And ask yourself, what better way to spend your hard-earned cash than on good laughs and good Friends?
