The newest episode of The Geekologists is here! And this time, we’re testing out a cocktail recipe from Insight Editions’ Emily in Paris: The Official Cookbook! Join us as we try out the French Connection – spoiler alert, we’re big fans!

The Geekologists & the French Connection Cocktail

Want to try out the recipe yourself? Here’s a quick cheatsheet of what you need!

French Connection Cocktail Recipe

Add the following ingredients into a shaker:

  • 2 fl oz Lillet
  • 2 fl oz Cognac
  • 2 dashes of orange bitters
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • ½ fl oz Honey Simple Syrup
    • Combine equal parts honey and simple syrup (recommendation 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar (you’ll have leftover syrup)) over medium heat, stirring until the honey dissolves, then let cool. (We highly recommend the cooling part)
  • Add ice and cover the shaker
  • Shake for about 10 seconds
  • Strain into a glass over ice.
