TV Review: Keeping Up With The Kardashians

The Kardashian family has always provided many hours of guilty pleasure for me. They’re a fun family that has no shortage of drama. But I have to say I was rather disappointed with the screener for this Sunday’s season premiere.

The highlight of theatrics in the season opener is Kim not wanting people to spill drinks in her new house, and Chloe not wanting Scott in her house – thus causing Kourtney to move into Kim’s. Really, that’s all you got? Perhaps watching Scott on previous seasons has just raised my level of expectations for this series. While I don’t understand the dynamics of Kourtney’s relationship with Scott ( And why she doesn’t realize she could do so much better…), I still enjoy watching his absurd moments. However, as we learned on the last season of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, he’s getting help for the outbursts that reality TV has forever cemented in the viewers’ minds.

The brief promo of what this new season holds seems to be much more packed with drama than the premiere – with everything from a new man in Kim’s life to and get ready for this – Kris possibly falling for a younger man. Something tells me E! did some fancy editing on that clip. Perhaps they needed that extra edge since the lives of our 3 starlets seem to be calming down a bit. Which is good for them, but not so great for reality TV.

  1. Scott is so crazy! He always reminds me of American Psycho! The new season sounds good! I always feel bad for Bruce though, I hope Kris falling for a new young guy is just heavy editing!

  2. I hope so too. Bruce seems like a pretty good guy.

And yes, Scott does remind me a lot of a skinny Christian Bale (era American Psycho). I’m so glad you mentioned that. Someone to confirm my opinion! 🙂
