‘AND’ Movie News Updates: Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons Cast

While the plot for Element Pictures latest project, AND, is being kept under tight wraps, casting updates have been announced for the film. Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley have all signed on to star in the upcoming flick.

Yorgos Lanthimos, who previously directed Emma Stone in The Favourite, will direct the movie. He has also penned the script for the film alongside Efthimis Filppou. Previously, Lanthimos and Filppou worked together on the screenplay for the 2015’s critically acclaimed film The Lobster.

In addition to reuniting Lanthimos and Emma Stone, AND also reunites Lanthimos with Element Pictures, Searchlight and Film4, as the four collaborated on The Favourite. The 2018 film was a huge success for the studios, grossing $95 million worldwide on its $15 million budget. The movie was nominated for a slew of awards, 184 of which the film won.

AND filming will begin this November in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the film is already in pre-production. Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe of Element are also set to produce.

Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield have released a statement, saying, “Working with Yorgos continues to be a highlight for us at Searchlight. And this is yet another truly original project that sets his work apart.”
