Planet Earth DVD Review: Absolutely Stunning

Planet Earth is now available on Blu-ray – making it even more stunning than it was the first time around. If that isn’t enough for you, you should check out more than 7 hours of bonus material!

The recipient of four Emmy Awards including Outstanding Nonfiction Series, Planet Earth was filmed in high-definition over five years by 71 camera people, in 62 countries across every continent. Between the state-of-the-art filming techniques that were used to the amazing high speed cameras, it’s not hard do to see why it was the most expensive ($25 million) factual series ever created by the BBC. This series pays off though, it captures our planet’s best-loved, wildest and most elusive creatives in rare moments.

Planet Earth is an epic, between the brilliant narration of David Attenborough and the sheer beauty it captures – it rivals some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters. The set includes 11 different episodes covering the north and south poles, mountains, fresh water environments, caves, deserts, great plains, jungles, oceans, forests and more!

With the holidays approaching, this is a great gift to keep in mind for anyone on your list. You can’t go wrong with it.
