Personal Life

After nearly 30 years of marriage, Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness announced their separation in September 2023. The couple, who met on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli in 1995, tied the knot in 1996 and have two adopted children together, Oscar Maximilian Jackman, 23, and Ava Eliot Jackman, 18.

Despite being considered one of the most enduring marriages in the entertainment industry, the pair decided to part ways to pursue individual growth. They expressed gratitude for their shared life and emphasized that their family remains their highest priority. The couple faced occasional criticism over their 13-year age difference, with Furness once stating that labeling her “lucky” to be married to a younger man was an insult.

The reason for their split remains unclear, but they request respect for their privacy as they navigate this new chapter.

Jackman spends his free time doing yoga and playing the piano, guitar, and violin. He actively supports sports leagues like the Norwich City F.C. and the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. In addition, he is also a fan of the Port Adelaide Football Club and the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

Fans of Jackman can look forward to seeing him soon in Disney+’s Faraway Downs. Jackman will star in the Baz Luhrmann project, which will see him star alongside Nicole Kidman again. The mini-series follows the story of Sarah, an aristocrat, who has a cattle ranch in Australia. Following the death of her husband, a baron plots to take her land, but she joins forces with cattle drover Jackman to protect her ranch.

Jackman will also star in Deadpool 3, opposite Ryan Reynolds, as well as Apostle Paul, where Jackman will play Paul. The movie tells the story of Paul the Apostle, whose blinding vision of Jesus transformed his life. The film is said to follow American CIA operative Robert Ames as he attempts to forge a healthy relationship between the U.S. and nations in the Middle East. However, tragedy strikes in 1983 when a bomb detonates outside the American Embassy in Beirut. The project is based on the book of the same name.

If that wasn’t enough, Jackman also has four additional projects in the works in various stages of development.
