The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus is the latest star to sign on for the John Wick spinoff flick Ballerina. The movie, which is currently filming in Prague, is being led by Ana de Armas who stars as the ballerina-assassin Rooney.

Reedus is joining quite the ensemble cast, which includes Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Additionally, and not surprisingly, Keanu Reeves is also set to make an appearance as John Wick, though there’s no confirmation on how big his role will be just yet.

The movie is being directed by Len Wiseman. The film’s screenplay is being written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell. And Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and John Wick director Chad Stahelski are producing the film.

“Norman Reedus will make an incredible addition to Ballerina

“We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to ‘Ballerina’.” Erica Lee said, commenting on the news to Deadline.

Norman Reedus, of course, best known for his role as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead. The hit AMC series recently aired its last episode. However, there are numerous spinoffs planned, including one, Daryl Dixon, which Reedus will star in.

His other notable acting credits include The Boondock Saints and Blade II. Additionally, Reedus, 53, is set to star in the upcoming flick The Bikeriders. Michael Shannon, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy also star in the film. The film will follow the rise of a Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members. The movie, which is inspired by a Danny Lyon-authored book, was still filming as of October 10, 2022.
