Kevin Feige Teases Big Plans for the Future of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

Tom Holland's Spider-Man

According to Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, there are big plans in store for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

As Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters, Feige weighs in on what’s to come, specifically with Spider-Man, whose last big appearance came in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As the MCU has launched us into Phase 5 with Quantumania, what else is to come with Phase, Phase 6, and beyond for Spider-Man?

“All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.” Feige reveals in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Currently, there is no confirmation, or even a tease, of where that story Feige is referencing will lead. It could be another solo film or an appearance in a larger cast project with the Avengers. However, doing more with Holland’s Peter Park is a no-brainer for the studio after 2021’s flick brought in more than $1.9 at the worldwide box office against a budget of $200 million.

Amy Pascal Confirms There Is More to Come with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

Thanks to franchise producer Amy Pascal, we also know there is a new trilogy in the works.

“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel. [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal said, referencing No Way Home.

“We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. It just isn’t part of … we’re thinking of this as three films. And now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.” she added.

Though, the rights to Spider-Man do get a bit tricky, as the character is owned by both Sony and Disney’s Marvel Studios, with Feige serving as producer on Sony’s solo projects.

Tom Holland has also commented on the chatter of what the future will hold for his character, noting, “We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment, they are conversations. We don’t know what the future looks like.”

Though, in all fairness, it would probably be smart of the studios to keep the plans a secret from Holland.

We’ll keep you posted on more MCU news as it’s announced!
