Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in Talks for ‘We Live In Time’
Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield are in talks to join the cast of We Live in Time.
The duo presented together at last week’s Oscars. And insiders are confirming that they’re in negotiations to star in the film, which is being described as a funny, immersive, and deeply moving love story.
The project, while still in the treatment stage of development, is set to be directed by John Crowley and is being written by Nick Payne. Additionally, Leah Clarke, Adam Ackland, and Guy Heeley are producing alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, who is serving as an executive producer.
Florence Pugh’s Movies in 2023
Currently, the plan is to shoot the drama later this year, which will make this year no less intense for Florence Pugh. She has Oppenheimer releasing this July, Dune: Part Two releasing this November, and A Good Person releasing on March 24th in the United States. Furthermore, Pugh has six additional projects in various stages of development, including Marvel’s Thunderbolts, which is currently in pre-production.
The 27-year-old star recently spoke about how she chooses her projects, and how she appreciates projects that challenge her.
“It’s no secret that I can only pick very intense roles,” Pugh says. “This isn’t the first time I’ve been reduced to tears pretty much every single scene that I’ve been in. I like finding the ugliness in humans.
She continued, “I love being raw. I love being given a script where it challenges myself. And I have never picked a role unless I’ve been scared of it.”
A Good Person was been directed by Pugh’s former boyfriend Zach Braff. And she noted how he actually incorporated her personal traits into the movie.
“He knows how I talk. He knows how I take the p*** out of people. And I think he just put that in his script and I was allowed to come and fill in where it was needed,” Pugh reveals. “But reading something that is dedicated for you written by someone who knows you so well is a wonderful gift.”
