Fandom, Assemble! Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 Brought the Hype to Atlanta!

Calling all pop culture geeks  – Netflix’s annual Geeked Week is back and it was bigger than ever! In its fourth year, this celebration of all things geeky came to Atlanta, Georgia, on September 19th for a live, in-person extravaganza!

Hosted by the one and only Joe Manganiello (of True Blood and Magic Mike fame), Geeked Week 2024 Live delivered a jam-packed two hours of sneak peeks, breaking news, and surprise appearances from the stars of your favorite Netflix shows and movies. We’re talking Squid Game, Arcane, One Piece, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cobra Kai, and so much more.

And the star power didn’t stop there – Cobra Kai‘s Jacob Bertrand and Xolo Maridueña served as special correspondents, keeping the excitement level cranked up to 11 throughout the event (seriously, their energy levels were contagious – I wish I could bottle it and add it to my coffee every morning!). Plus, a whole host of talented actors like Alycia Debnam-Carey, Brittany O’Grady, Finn Wittrock, and Kelsey Asbille made appearances. Not to mention, Charlie Brooker, creator of Netflix’s Black Mirror, which I’ve just recently started binging through the last six seasons.

But the real heart of Geeked Week has always been the fans. For the first time ever, Netflix inducted the most dedicated, creative, and passionate fans into the Geeked Hall of Fandom. These superfans, as voted by the community, were honored on stage during the live show, receiving custom awards presented by their favorite Netflix stars.

And the fun didn’t stop there – Geeked Week was packed with fan-centric experiences all week long. There were Geeks Who Drink trivia, Geeked Ink tattoo sessions, a Twilight of the Gods fan screening with Zack Snyder, and even a “Redlight, Greenlight” livestream where fans can win real Squid Game props and other prizes.
