Summary: Kraven the Hunter tells the story of Kraven (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a descendant of Russian nobility who has a complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe). Kraven has made himself into the world’s greatest hunter, but he is also one of its most feared.
What to Watch For: The development of this character coming to the big screen has been going on since 2012 when Sam Raimi wanted to include him in the fourth Spiderman film. That fell through when they rebooted the series.
Word on the Street: Richard Wenk wrote the screenplays for the Equalizer series films and The Expendables 2.
My Take: It is going to be interesting to see how they portray this character. In the comic books, Kraven is often a villain and often a foe of Spiderman.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (2024)

Summary: The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim tells the story of the legendary King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand. The King and his family must defend their kingdom against an army of Dunledings led by the clever and ruthless Wulf.
What to Watch For: The film is set 183 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings.

What to Watch For: The cast includes Jacob Elordi, Michael Imperioli, Victoria Hill, Uma Thurman, Penelope Mitchell, and Kristine Froseth.
Word on the Street: Paul Schrader, the award-winning filmmaker of American Gigolo (1980), Cat People (1982) and The Card Counter (2021) directs the film.
My Take: The film is based on the novel Foregone by Russell Banks.
The Man in the White Van (2023)

Summary: The Man in the White Van takes place in a small town in Florida in 1974. Annie (Madison Wolfe) is a teen with two siblings who believes an ominous white van is following her. Her parents don’t believe her, even with reports of a serial killer on the loose, but they will soon find out that Annie was right.
What to Watch For: The film premiered at the 2023 Newport Beach Film Festival.
Word on the Street: The film is from Legion M, a fan-owned entertainment company.
My Take: Madison Wolfe wrote and recorded a song in the film.

My Take: I am a big fan of Alison Pill, who played Kim Pine in the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and was Dr. Agnes Jurati in the TV series Star Trek: Picard.
