Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Contracts Renewed

According to a press release sent out today, Comedy Central has reached individual agreements with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to keep both with the network. Stewart’s contract extension with Comedy Central will keep him at the helm of “The Daily Show” through June 2013, where he will continue to serve as executive producer, writer and host. Stephen Colbert’s extension will keep him and “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central through the end of 2012. He will also continue to serve as executive producer, writer and host of his show.
