Berry Blames Wildfires on Mother Nature

Actress HALLE BERRY fears the Malibu, California wildfires will destroy her California home – but insists its fate rests with “mother nature”.

Almost one million people have so far been evacuated from the affected area since fires began on Sunday morning (21Oct07).

And the pregnant star admits the flames have got her seriously worried for the safety of her loved ones.

Speaking from London, where she’s promoting her new film, ironically titled Things We Lost In The Fire, the Oscar winner tells WENN, “It’s frightening. I live in Malibu so I’m worried about my neighbors, my friends, my family and my house (because) it’s a very old property.

“It’s scary (but) it’s mother nature (and) she’s angry.” (MT/WN/KL)
