Jolie Shows Off Post-Pregnancy Figure At New York Premiere

ANGELINA JOLIE showed off her post-baby figure on the red carpet at the New York premiere of new film THE CHANGELING on Saturday (04Oct08), in her first public appearance since giving birth to twins this summer (08).

The Hollywood star stepped out with her partner Brad Pitt in a figure-hugging black strapless dress for the Clint Eastwood-directed movie screening, in which she plays a mother whose son is kidnapped.

It was recently claimed that Jolie had been suffering from post-natal depression since the July (08) birth of Knox and Vivienne in France, but she showed no signs of the condition as she posed for the cameras and chatted to the press in the Big Apple.

However, she did admit that looking after a brood of six was taking its toll, telling the New York Daily News, “I leave work and I go right home to the kids and I’m always checking on them in the middle of the night.”

Speaking to People.com, she says, “We are a little bit (sleep deprived). We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.”

But despite this, the actress insists she is still reveling in the joys of
motherhood: “Everyone’s great. The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities.

“I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery. I feel great (and) feel very happy that they’re healthy.”

She adds of their time in the south of France, “We are surrounded by friends and so happy there, and I think it has been so great for everyone.”

However, she confesses that she was a little hesitant about returning to the spotlight after spending months away from Hollywood.

Jolie says, “(I’m) not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it9s been so long. It felt a little strange.”

In addition to the newborn twins, Jolie and Pitt are parents to adopted kids Maddox, Pax and Zahara, and biological daughter Shiloh.
