In support of Bo Bice’s upcoming performance at the fourth annual Concert in the Quarry at Martin Marietta Forsyth Quarry in Georgia, we asked him about his musical influences. Here’s what Bo had to say:
Of all your musical influences, who’s been your favorite to write/play with?
B. Bice: Lynyrd Skynyrd and Willie Nelson have been my favorites to perform with. I grew up listening to them and wouldn’t have a career without the influence of such southern rock greats as Charlie Daniels and Bocephus…. My favorite influence to write with is A.J. Croce, Jim Croce’s son. I became friends with the Croce family after performing, “Time in a Bottle” on American Idol. He actually played organ and keys on my latest EP.
If you’re able to attend Bo’s May 2nd concert, be sure to check it out! Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for students (18 and under with valid ID) for general admission seating.
