Robert Pattison Will Not Have NYPD Security

‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson has returned to New York to continue filming his latest project ‘Remember Me’ with co-star Emilie de Ravin. However, the star will not be receiving security from the NYPD as many sources have claimed.

A spokesperson for the NYPD confirmed this earlier this morning saying, “We’re not providing security. The police department does not provide it for actors. Specific to this issue, we are not currently providing private security for Robert Pattinson.”

One police source reportedly spoke with the Irish Central website saying, “Enough is enough. His security people aren’t up to the task of keeping him safe, and they have no idea how to deal with the crowds this guy attracts.”

The source continued to say, “That’s amateur hour. We have celebrities a lot bigger than this guy who can come and go in perfect safety because we know how to take the right precautions. We have presidents and kings come and go. This poor kid can’t get in or out of a car without things getting dangerous.”

Pattinson has been advised by his personal security to not encourage fans and to keep his heads down while in crowds.

  1. This is just ridiculous. The crazy screaming hordes of girls need to back off before they seriously cause someone to get hurt. What is the deal with stampeding these people?
