Alec Baldwin Hospitalized And Released

Sources from Alec Baldwin’s apartment building on Central Park West in Manhattan have confirmed that in the early morning hours Baldwin was taken by ambulance to Lenox Hill Hospital.

Earlier news reports claim that Baldwin was found unresponsive by a relative who had called 911. Baldwin’s rep, Matthew Hiltzik, insists that this is a misunderstanding saying, “This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he’s completely fine and will be at work today.”

Hiltzik goes on to say, “If there was a real problem, he wouldn’t have been released within an hour.” US Magazine is reporting that it was his 14-year-old daughter who found him. She had told 911 that he had threaten to take pills after an argument they had earlier.

Baldwin is still scheduled to co-host the Oscars on March 7 with actor Steve Martin.
