Alec Baldwin Fights For ‘Modern Family’ Star Marriage Rights

A video has recently surfaced that is giving Alec Baldwin and Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson fans everywhere something to talk about: their marriage!

In the video, the 30 Rock star Baldwin talks about Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the proudly out gay Modern Family star, and also urges viewers to donate to fightbackpac.com to help “remove from office those senators who stand in the way of equality, because no one tells a New Yorker they can’t marry Jesse Tyler Ferguson.”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson made the rounds of the internet in an earlier video stating that he and Alec Baldwin were getting married in New York next year. Baldwin states that once this video hit the net, emails, texts and yes, tweets about the video flooded in.

“As a result of this video, a vast and malicious whisper campaign has emerged that I can’t marry Jesse because I’m not gay. I hear this behind my back on a daily basis, ‘Oh, Alec Baldwin, he’s straight. He’s a heterosexual. He likes women,'” Baldwin states in a very firm manner on his newly released video.

When a voice off camera is heard telling him that he is indeed straight, Baldwin firmly states that “that’s not the point”, and explains that the only reason he and Ferguson cannot get hitched is because of a “group of state senators who decided last December that gay New Yorkers don’t have the right to marry the man or the woman that they love.”

Alec Baldwin, you have now made a whole new fanbase! Gay right advocates are standing behind the actor on his statement and praising him for it. I too, praise Baldwin for stepping up and addressing this ridiculous issue that only a ‘man and woman’ should be allowed to wed.

This is 2010 people! We never have, never could, and never will choose who we fall in love with – get over it senators and grant union and marriage to all couples already!
