LeAnn Rimes Graces The Front Cover Of Shape: By Mistake

Shape Magazine’s October cover-girl is LeAnn Rimes, and though she no doubt looks amazing, Shape is calling Rimes on the cover a “”terrible mistake”.

Why? Apparently, a large number of people complained about the fitness magazine’s choice, so much that editor-in-chief Valerie Latona felt compelled to email the subscribers in question an explanation on why a “husband-stealer” is being put in the spotlight.

“You are all in good company (why I’m e-mailing you all together) as you all agree Shape has made a terrible mistake in putting LeAnn Rimes on the cover. Please know that our putting her on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal—but to show (through her story) how we all are human. And this woman in particular found strength in exercise in what she said was her most difficult personal moment. But it did not come across that way…And for that I’m terribly sorry. I hope that we can do better the next time for those of you that will give us another chance.”

For those that don’t know what all the fuss is about, the singer moved in with actor Eddie Cibrian a while back and was accused of “stealing” him from ex-wife Brandi Glanville. Rumors circulated that Rimes and Cibrian began their relationship while the actor was still married – though nothing was ever confirmed.

Interesting. Fans, help me out here – should it matter if Rimes’ graces the magazine cover? Should her personal life come in between her and a job offer? At this point, the only way it seems Rime’s will get any good publicity is to dump Cibrian. But if she is truly in love, is that the right choice?
