Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Reveal Their Favorite Scary Movies

The stars of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) informed The Hollywood Reporter recently on which scary movies are their favorite.

Nina, who revealed that there’s nothing compared to her fear of blood, confessed that The Ring and the Saw movies “terrify” her. “Ironically enough, I’m very squeamish when it comes to blood,” she admitted to THR. “Even on set, there was a scene I had to do where I cut my wrist on camera and it took every little bit of energy and strength that I had because your veins are so exposed. Every person is so fragile and it’s so easy to get hurt, it just freaks me out.”

Although Ian Somerhalder may no longer watch many scary movies, he does admit to being scared of ‘The Nightmare on Elm Street’ series as a kid. “When I was a kid the Freddy Krueger movies and Candyman used to scare the s*** out of me,” he said. “We’re adults now and it still holds up.”

  1. When I was younger, I think the movies that scared me the most were The Freddy movies, The Poltergeist and The Exorcist. Those were creepy movies.
